Tim Rice is one of the best lyricists of today, not to mention a published author. After graduating from high school, Rice worked as a clerk for a law firm then moved on to college. However, he did not get a degree at the Sorbonne University in Paris, instead of working in the Management Department at EMI Records. Rice is known to work on the lyrics for musicals like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as Chess. His other works included writing the lyrics for The Lion King and Aladdin. In 1994, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth herself and was even inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
