Herb Alpert is a music executive and a trumpeter. He was born into a family of talented musicians. He picked up the trumpet at the young age of 8. In 1960, he started his music record journey as a singer under the name of Dore Alpert. Eventually, he released Tell It To The Birds under the record label he co-founded, Carnival Records which would later be known as A&M records.
