Lorraine Nicholson | Jack Nicholson & Rebecca Broussard’s Daughter

It’s not surprising that a child of an actor or actress wishes to enter the family business and work in Hollywood. Lorraine Nicholson ended up following in the footsteps of her renowned father, Jack Nicholson, and she has found her success.

Lorraine’s first major film role was in Soul Surfer, which she starred in in 2011. She played the role of Alana Blanchard, the best friend of superstar surfer Bethany Hamilton. Lorraine earned a bachelor’s degree in literary arts from Brown University in 2012 to become a screenwriter and worked hard to achieve her goal in the years afterward. She created, produced, and directed The Instant Message, a short coming-of-age drama in 2013. She then published Life Boat, an 18-minute teen drama, last year. The short film premiered globally at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it received praise for being “tense and riveting.” Lorraine, who is now 28 years old, has also dabbled in the music industry, creating music videos for musicians such as K.Flay and Lil Buck. Evidently, she has acquired her father’s exceptional work ethic!
