TINA TURNER | LOS ANGELESPROPERTY | $860,000
Located in Los Angeles’ View Park neighborhood, Tina Turner’s ranch-style dwelling was built in 1956 and boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms in under 3,000 square feet of living area. Being hers and Ike Turner’s former residence is not its only claim to fame, as the pad also served as their house in the 1993 movie What’s Love Got to Do with It. Both the exterior and interior of the retro property appeared throughout the film.
The pair purchased the one-story property in 1964 after Ike received a $40,000 bonus for signing a contract with Sue Records. By all accounts, they shelled out $100,000 for the property, which counts at nearly $860,000 in today’s currency. The twosome called it home until Tina left Ike and hired a moving company. The home, which sits on 0.21 acres, was then sold fully intact and furnished in May 1977.
