Jaclyn Smith is best known for starring in the television series Charlie’s Angels as Kelly Garettt from 1976 to 1981. The American actress and businesswoman was the only original female lead that remained throughout the show’s run. In 2003, Smith reprised her role for cameo appearances in the films Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Charlie’s Angels in 2009.

The actress began her acting career in television commercials in 1969. A few years later, in 1976, Smith was cast in the abovementioned series, which propelled her to stardom and appeared on the front cover of Time magazine.
