Before her start in the entertainment industry, Whoopi Goldberg worked a variety of jobs to help with whatever personal loans she had. This included working as a bank teller and a bricklayer, to name a few. Not long after, though, Goldberg began teaching comedy and acting classes and joined the Black Street Hawkeyes theater troupe.

Since then, the actress has made quite a name for herself under the spotlight. In fact, she’s also one of the few stars to have won at least one Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award! With all that success, it’s no surprise the Sister Act star has bought herself a couple of lovely properties through the years. This includes the Los Angeles house she purchased in 1993, which recently found its way back on the market in 2019, selling for $9.6 million. With its all-around gorgeous architecture and design, it’s safe to say its new owner will be more than happy to call it their home.
